Just what you want from an all Campbeltown expression: oily, viscous, mouth coating whisky. Dunnage funk, a little salinity and a finish that lasts as long as the bus ride back to Glasgow.
About this Little Brown Dog whisky
Just over a year ago, Andrew and Chris made a mad wee whisky with their pals David Stirk, and Mark & Kate Watt, The Wee Broon Electric Coo. It went a little crazy. They still had some of the stock from David to make some more, so that’s what they've done!
What is a mega blend? Well, they felt Blended Malt Scotch Whisky didn’t quite do justice to the mega malts in this blend so, you know, MEGA BLEND!
So what is it then? Like the WBEC blend Andrew and Chris have used whiskies from all of the Campbeltown Distilleries currently in production.
9 year old Glen Scotia, 12 and 16yo Kilkerran and 10 and 21yo Springbank.
1st fill bourbon and refill sherry casks.
Why, why would they do this!? Well 2 reasons.
1) That was the deal to get the stock, it could only be for blending.
2) They wanted people to drink it.
Andrew and Chris are, first and foremost, whisky lovers. They got so into this incredible spirit because they love exploring it, learning more and developing our knowledge and palates. It’s very hard to do that by ballot, queuing overnight outside a shop/distillery or chasing bottles at auction. They wanted to remind people why these Campbeltown distilleries are so highly coveted, by creating a blend that allows people to actually drink it, a cask strength celebration of Kintyre’s finest at a fair price.
It has been a lot of fun to make this, they really hope you have as much fun enjoying it.
Cask strength, non chill filtered, natural colour.

The label, it takes some explanation. Dairy cows, this is what you get on a whisky label from a farmer and a former vet. Dairy because there’s still lots of dairy cows on Kintyre. 3 different cows, for the 3 different distilleries. Green background for the green grass, but also a chilling reminder of the green screen video Andrew and Chris did with David (look it up on youtube, or you know, don’t). Oh yeah and they didn’t want to call it Wee Broon Electric Coo 2 but instead wanted a less than subtle nod to it. See, a completely normal thing to put on a whisky label!
