About this whisky

48 Blended Malt is a limited edition whisky by indie bottlers Heroes and Heretics. The number 48 is often associated with divine humanity and creative expression. The label is a homage to the 80’s. A retrospective to memorable nights, with a modern twist. A time when things were simpler and parties were wilder.

Whisky matured in sherry butts is something quite special. The wood that once held sherry adds to both the flavour and the aroma of the whisky maturing in the cask. Usually crafted from European or American oak and hold around 500 litres.
