About this Woodrow's whisky

From Woodrow’s of Edinburgh’s Warehouse Reserve range comes this peated 10-year-old Bunnahabhain Moine, distilled on 29 October 2014 and bottled on 16 July 2025. Matured in a single hogshead (cask 8776) and bottled at cask strength 58.0% with natural colour and no chill filtration, this limited release of just 249 bottles balances smoky intensity with maritime freshness. The nose offers peat-smoked honey, a medley of ripe fruits, and crisp apple juice. The palate brings an oily mouthfeel layered with salty brine, apples, lemon sherbet, and burnt demerara sugar, leading to a finish of smoked kippers lifted by sweet nutmeg and star anise.

Meet The Founder

Woody Tan

Originally from Hong Kong, Woody Tan has lived in Scotland since 2011. He studied an MSc in Brewing and Distilling at Heriot-Watt University, and then went into the cask trade and warehouse keeping. While looking after casks, he started to discover gems that he felt had to be shared with fellow whisky lovers. He bottles these special casks under his Woodrow’s of Edinburgh label.

Woody has an excellent palate, and a knack for uncovering really flavoursome casks. He’s also a wizard when it comes to cask experiments, and has released some interesting cask-finished whiskies.
