Staoisha 8 Year Old Tasting Notes

Nose: Caramel toffee, cinnamon, and gingerbread biscuits. A little star anise, five spices even. Dark fruits, like brambles and figs. A whiff of gunpowder. Sawdust. Crispy bacon and pancetta. And peat smoke, obviously.

Palate: Treacly, punchy, and delicious. Salty seaweeds, umami, oyster sauce and liquorice. More dark fruits.

Finish: Long, full of dark fruits and coastal smoke.

About this WhiskyDudes release

The gift that keeps on giving. Over the last couple of years, WhiskyDudes have released several of these strongly peated sherry monsters. This latest edition, a Staoisha 2014, is now joining its siblings at the highest stage, where it fits in perfectly. This one is more layered, maybe even a bit gentler, than its brothers and sisters. It's very special stuff, and a must-try for those who enjoy Staoisha.
