Benrinnes 10 Year Old Tasting Notes
Nose: Demerara sugar, Haiti rum, and chocolate, with a subtle hint of freshly-picked strawberries.
Palate: Dark berries, figs, and dried apricots dominate, alongside notes of Ruby Port (who’d have figured...), cherries, and maple syrup. The mouthfeel is extremely rich and slightly provocative with a light peppery feel. Wood spices. And a sweetness that is perfectly balanced by a slightly drying finish.
Finish: Long-lasting, a stunner! A subtle sweetness that continues to linger on from the palate. Caramel toffee, biscuits, and dried fruits.
Overall: A lovely expression that offers a complex yet harmonious profile that is sure to impress most, if not all, whisky enthusiasts.
