Miltonduff 16 Year Old Tasting Notes
Official tasting notes
Nose: A sticky and sweet nose. Bold sherry initially cloaks the intricacies but time and a touch of water reveal more delicate cooked fruits, cinnamon and cloves. A touch of milk chocolate skulks around the back.
Palate: Rich sweetness washes over the palate with bright sparks of pepper. As the dram mellows, deeper stewed fruits and milk chocolate give way to lighter stone fruits and layers of spice.
Finish: Milk chocolate and fruit fades first revealing Christmas cake and a touch of nuttiness. Bags of spices loiter for a lengthy, balanced finish.
Ed's review
Colour: Natural colour, burnished gold.
Nose: Rich and fruity, it's really appetising. Blackberries, raspberries, red apples, and a little vanilla. Alcohol is very well integrated, with no burn.
Palate: Medium mouthfeel. A medley of autumn fruit - berries, stewed apple, a touch of warming spice. Fruit and nut milk chocolate. Alcohol is again very well integrated, adding just a little gentle spice.
Finish: Medium to long finish. Fruit and cereal. Ginger cake and walnuts. Leaves me ready for another sip.
About Uncharted's Let's Stay Together
First fill ex- Pedro Ximenez sherry quarter casks- a perfect recipe for dark and decadent drams. This luxurious single malt has aged for 16 years. After 15 of those years of quietly maturing a stone’s throw from the River Spey, Uncharted Whisky split the cask in two.
This already smooth and rather lovely spirit was filled in two first-fill sherry quarter casks where maturation was finished off. (For those not “in-the-know” yet, quarter casks are much smaller than a standard cask, and impart a much larger sherry influence on the spirit’s maturation.)
Once ready, the spirit has been brought back together before bottling in Uncharted's rather lovely glassware.
As you may have noticed if you are an Uncharted Whisky fan, Jack and Dana name their whiskies after classic songs which have stood the test of time. This release is a beautiful single cask, split in two, spent some maturation time apart and before coming back together. These two sherry quarter casks were quite literally made for each other. Not to mention the spirit is as smooth and soulful as they come. So, Jack and Dana needed a super smooth title… what better than “Let’s Stay Together”?

What about taxes?
All alcoholic products sold by TopWhiskies are sold subject to UK alcohol tax, which is already included in the price.
UK sales are subject to VAT (currently 20%), which is included in the price. Sales outside of the UK are not subject to this tax, and international prices do not include it.
We use a specialist US shipper who sorts out US taxes. These costs are factored into the US shipping charges. So shipping may look pricey, but remember it covers your taxes as well.
For all other territories, including those in Europe, please note: your order could be subject to local sales taxes and duties upon arrival in the destination country. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient. As customs policies vary widely from country to country, TopWhiskies has no control over these charges, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. If you refuse to pay any import duties and taxes, this could result in the goods being destroyed by customs or being returned back to us - any refund offered would include a deduction of our costs.
