Nose: Pear drops, dried mango, pineapple, butterscotch, oak, and a little dry note.
Palate: Baked apple, brown sugar, the dried mangoes again, pineapple juice, and plenty of wood spice.
Finish: Tropical fruits give way to butterscotch which gives way to woody spices and warmth.

This Aberlour 11 Year Old Ace of Speys from Uncharted Whisky Co, founded by Jack Breslin and Dana de Vos, is a vibrant and fruit-laden Speyside single malt that showcases a less conventional side of Aberlour through maturation in two Spinola sherry barriques.
Distilled in 2014 and bottled in March 2026, this release explores the interaction between Aberlour’s naturally rich, fruity spirit and the distinctive influence of Spinola sherry casks. While Aberlour is often associated with darker, richer sherry styles, these barriques bring a brighter and more tropical dimension to the whisky, creating a profile that feels both familiar and refreshingly different.
The whisky opens with an inviting nose of pear drops, dried mango, pineapple, and butterscotch, all supported by gentle oak and a subtle drying note that adds structure. On the palate, baked apples and brown sugar provide a comforting Speyside foundation, while layers of dried mango and fresh pineapple juice bring a vibrant tropical character. The influence of the wood becomes more apparent as the whisky develops, introducing warming spice and depth without overwhelming the fruit.
The finish is long and evolving, with tropical fruits gradually giving way to creamy butterscotch before settling into lingering oak spice and warming sweetness.
Bottled at 55% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration, this whisky delivers excellent texture and concentration while retaining balance and drinkability.
