About this Murray McDavid whisky
Built in 1846, Caol Ila Distillery was named ‘Sound of Islay’ in Gaelic, after the atmospheric narrow strait that gently crashes the sea wall of its impressive stillhouse. The delicate smoky spirit that flows from its tall copper stills makes it a real fan favourite.
Murray McDavid have balanced this fresh Islay single malt by finishing it for four years in compact Rye whiskey casks, from Koval Distillery, their partners in the US. These small, flavourful casks, combined with pleasantly peated spirit, creates a tasty dram.
