Brukswhisky Tasting Notes
Nose: Light tones of peat and smoke followed by oak and fruitiness. Honey, vanilla and roasted bready tones. Soft, fruity notes of pears, citrus and a hint of raisins.
Palate: Soft smoke with peat, juniper, vanilla caramel, ripe pears and citrus. Soft, herbal spices with vanilla and roasted oak, light notes of fruitiness with citrus, pear and raisins. A light oily texture.
Finish: Spices of peat and juniper together with notes of roasted oak. Soft, fruitiness and tones of tobacco leaves.
About this Mackmyra Moment
Moment Brukswhisky DLX II is a deluxe version of Mackmyra's Brukswhisky. Brukswhisky DLX II has fine spicy notes of vanilla caramel fudge and toasted oak that echo the original recipe but in a whole new light. Brukswhisky DLX II is between 9-11 years old and was aged in the Bodås Mine warehouse. The full cask recipe for this whisky is:
- Ex-Bourbon (200 L), Smoky tail distillate. Aged 11 years.
- Freshly saturated Oloroso casks (128 L) filled with 5 to 7 years old ex-Bourbon-cask whisky. Aged 9 to 11 years.
- Svensk ek (100 L), filled with 4 year old ex-Bourbon-cask whisky. Aged 9 to 11 years.
- Ex-Bourbon (100 L), filled with Smoke-tail from 2010. Aged 11 years.

How much is shipping?
Shipping charges are calculated during checkout, depending on where you live and how many bottles you’re buying.
What about taxes?
All alcoholic products sold by TopWhiskies are sold subject to UK alcohol tax, which is already included in the price.
UK sales are subject to VAT (currently 20%), which is included in the price. Sales outside of the UK are not subject to this tax, and international prices do not include it.
We use a specialist US shipper who sorts out US taxes. These costs are factored into the US shipping charges. So shipping may look pricey, but remember it covers your taxes as well, so there'll be no further bills to pay.
For all other territories, including those in Europe, please note: your order could be subject to local sales taxes and duties upon arrival in the destination country. All additional charges are the responsibility of the recipient. As customs policies vary widely from country to country, TopWhiskies has no control over these charges, so you should contact your local customs office for further information. If you refuse to pay any import duties and taxes, this could result in the goods being destroyed by customs or being returned back to us - any refund offered would include a deduction of our costs.
Which couriers do you use?
In the UK we use Royal Mail, Parcelforce and APC. US orders are sent via UPS. International orders use FedEx and DHL. Orders are despatched from our UK warehouse Mondays to Fridays, excluding public holidays.
