About this Càrn Mòr whisky
This Mannochmore 11 Year Old from Morrison Distillers was released under the Càrn Mòr Strictly Limited range, showcasing the distillery’s elegant Speyside character through classic bourbon cask maturation.
Distilled in 2010 and bottled in 2022, this single malt matured in bourbon hogsheads, a cask style that allows Mannochmore’s naturally fresh and fruit-driven spirit to shine with clarity. Known for producing a lighter, clean, and subtly floral distillate, Mannochmore is particularly well suited to bourbon maturation, where vanilla sweetness and gentle oak can support rather than overshadow the whisky’s natural brightness.
The result is a whisky that feels approachable and well-balanced throughout. On the nose, green apple, pear, and vanilla cream lead into honeyed malt and soft floral aromas, while hints of citrus zest and gentle oak spice add freshness and complexity. The palate is smooth and rounded, delivering orchard fruits, caramel, creamy malt, and sweet vanilla layered alongside light toasted oak. Subtle citrus oils and white pepper bring lift and structure, preventing the whisky from becoming overly sweet.
The finish is medium in length and warming, carrying lingering vanilla sweetness, soft spice, and notes of malted biscuit that leave a clean and satisfying impression.
Bottled at 47.5% ABV, with natural colour and without chill filtration, this release retains plenty of texture while remaining highly drinkable. With an outturn of 1,215 bottles, it offers a generous and accessible introduction to Mannochmore’s refined Speyside style.
A classic bourbon-matured Speyside malt - fresh, fruity, and effortlessly easy-drinking, with balance and elegance at its core.
