Henstone Distillery, based in Oswestry, Shropshire, United Kingdom, was established in 2017 by Chris and Alexandra Toller, along with Shane and Alison Parr. The distillery, located at the Stonehouse Brewery site, is committed to creating high-quality spirits with a small batch twist. Henstone's distillation process is guided by a commitment to produce the best possible product, never compromising on the cuts of their distillations.
Their whisky production began in November 2017 with the installation of a 1000 litre pot/column hybrid still named Hilda. The first batch of 'new make' spirit went into wood on January 10, 2018, and sold out within hours of its launch on January 23, 2021. Henstone uses only the finest malted barley to produce a distinctive new-make spirit, which is aged in a mix of ex-bourbon, Oloroso, Pedro Ximenez and ex-Peated casks, among others
