This Inchmurrin 11 Year Old from Gleann Mór Spirits is part of the Rare Find range, a series focused on highlighting distinctive single casks that showcase both distillery character and thoughtful maturation.
Distilled in 2014 at Loch Lomond Distillery and bottled in 2026, this release offers a clear view of Inchmurrin’s uniquely expressive spirit. Produced using Loch Lomond’s straight-neck pot stills, Inchmurrin is known for its bright, fruity, and slightly exotic profile - often more aromatic and estery than many traditional Highland malts.
This whisky has been matured in a second fill sherry hogshead (cask 12278), a choice that allows the spirit to shine while adding gentle structure and subtle sweetness. Unlike first fill casks, second fill wood brings a more restrained influence, layering in soft caramel, spice, and texture without overpowering Inchmurrin’s naturally fruit-forward character.
On the nose, soft vanilla and warm caramel lead, supported by light grassy notes and a delicate hint of white pepper. The palate is rich and mouthcoating, delivering caramel cups, pear drops, and delicate pastry notes, all carried on a velvety texture with gentle spice woven throughout.
