And this Blablair is the first of their Calvados cask finished whiskies, although technically it’s an ex-white port then calvados cask finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eSometimes disasters happen in whisky. The two 250L casks of Balblair that fitted into a small calvados cask are an example of one of these disasters. They should not have fitted, but they did, with room to spare. The angels’ share was savage. Luckily, this is a tasty disaster. A little over 18 months in the calvados cask has wonderfully elevated the spirit.
