Whisky Tasting Notes
Colour: Natural; a beautiful dark gold, with nice, slow tears in the glass.
Nose: A hearty nose with a great range of fruity notes including yellow raisins, banana, canned peach in syrup, and rose hips. These fruity notes are accompanied by white wine, a little butter, and a minerality in the form of a hint of iron.
Palate: A smooth mouthfeel with more fruit notes on the palate, like a jar of fruit salad. There's a faint smokiness and more of raisins. The cask comes through with notes of dried oak.
Finish: A long, lingering, finish. Dry roasted nuts, dark espresso, and almonds. Further fruits and blackberries, joined by the idea of tomato and oregano bruschetta. There's a creamy aspect, moving to a drying finale.
